We are looking for an enterprise email architect with experience in a global enterprise mail environment.
Our client has an email environment that contains both on-premises and online components. For email functionality, an Exchange Hybrid environment has been created and Exchange Server systems are in different regions and hosted on vessels. Exchange Server systems on vessels host their own email domain which is connected to the central email domain.
Email security, like antivirus and anti-spam, is being done by different solutions that are hosted in the datacenter in The Netherlands.
We want to investigate if on-premises systems can be migrated to the cloud completely, if Exchange Server systems on vessels can be optimized or migrated, and what the impact of these changes will be. In addition to moving email functionality workload to cloud, while at the same time improving our security.
We need an architect to gather all requirements from all stakeholders, for example:
– Vessels need to be able to email on board if there is no connectivity to central mail system.
– Business wants less false positives filtered out, because they sometimes miss important emails from important clients
– Current mail flow goes through 5 systems (4 onprem) consisting of more than 14 servers, which is a lot to maintain.
– Email in the US needs to originate from a US mail relay because US government does not accept email from outside the US.
Based on the requirements the architect needs to create a high level design and get this approved.
Based on this design we need a product selection and high level migration plan, including cost estimation.
We are expecting this to take one month.
